Committees
The
Denver Green Party has several sub-committees, which focus on
different aspects of Green politics:
The
Coalition-Diversity Committee works to forge
alliances with community groups having Green values. Its mission
is to encourage local business; to foster grassroots community
initiative in the interest of neighborhoods, individuals, and
families; and to promote Green values among diverse cultural,
religious, and ethnic groups by bringing together the power
of community activism and progressive politics.
The
Campaign Committee is the political arm of
the DGP, working on election
research and planning, candidate recruitment and support, voter
registration, and voter education. The goal of the campaign
committee is to build progressive legitimacy in local politics,
by designing and promoting strong Green campaigns where the
progressive message is a real choice for voters.

The
Fundraising Committee raises money to finance
the operations of the DGP, which include newsletter mailing
costs, parade and festival participation fees, campaign and
special-issue advertising, web hosting, and meeting-place fees.
A current goal is to be able to fund a permanent office for
the DGP. Money is raised both through special events and by
direct appeals to voters and the community.
The
Technology Committee is responsible for maintaining
the DGP web site, and using online technology for voter education.
The
Communications Committee is responsible for
campaign and issue advertising, press releases, and publishing
of newsletters, brochures, and flyers.
