Mission:
Technology
should be used to preserve life - human and non-human - and serve
the expansion of moral and ethical consciousness, rather than merely
promoting non-sustainable destructive consumption and further poisoning
of the earth. There should be public input and control over the introduction
and use of new technology. There should be an emphasis on democratic
local control, while recognizing the need for appropriate national
standards.
